Safety Program
A safety committee has been established, in June of 2004, as a management tool to enhance safety and install preventative measures to the Town of Lake Placid workplace. The committee will be identifying corrective measures needed to eliminate and control recognized safety and health hazards. Management, as well as the Safety Committee, will be actively involved with employees in establishing and maintaining an effective safety program. To make this possible, the Town’s Safety Committee has assembled a safety manual and offers monthly safety trainings for all employees. The Town has also established an immunization policy, which is designed to protect employees from communicable diseases.
